The Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) in the A320 Simulator Software has been implemented following the model and working of the Honeywell MK V and MK VII EGPWS.
We are lined up on LSZB (Bern Switzerland) runway 14.
We have enabled the Terrain on ND, and the EGPWS is showing the terrain information.
With Google Maps, placing us at the aircraft location and orientating the map in the same direction as the runway we get the following.
On the ND you can clearly see valley between Bern and Thun. And then the Thunersee bending to the left at Interlaken and then the valley going further to the left to Luzern. In the upper right corner you can see behind the mountain ridge the valley of Sion appearing.
