Like any aircraft, the A320 has a big number of Circuit Breakers (C/B) that play a vital role in the safety of the electrical systems. Most of them are located in the back of the cockpit behind the pilots and the most important ones in the upper overhead above the pilots.
In our A320 Sim Software we have modelled the Circuit Breaker functionality as part of the aircraft electrical system. In total 173 C/B's have been implemented already, covering all of the main electrical devices and circuits. Dynamically as we evolve additional C/B's can be added very efficiently.
All these C/B's can be monitored and changed in state (cf. popped/reset) via the below shown Circuit Breaker page which is part of the Instructor Station web application. It features a handy filter option to select and show only the relevant C/B's you wish to see. It also allows to filter in specific properties, such as for example a specific C/B's identified by its name, location, FIN number, monitored or not, etc... And allows to filter also by state, to show for example only those C/B's that have popped.
Linked to the C/B's are of course also all the failures and warnings generated by the Flight Warning Computer (FWC) whenever the Instructor pops a C/B.
